A new decade!

Here’s hoping you all had a good Christmas and are looking forward to the year of 2010! The first of a new decade!! Funny how a New Year fills us with expectation: a hope for better times as we turn towards the beckoning spring and summer beyond. Only the real winter hasn’t even begun yet: January and February lay in wait with the cold and dark, maybe we just need to have those summer plans in place to have something to look forward to? Perhaps just the promise of a break away, is enough to set ourselves for the rigors of the real winter, to keep our spirits lifted and our optimism undiminished!

As always we’ll be here ready to help you formulate and savour those holiday plans. Our ideas are underway for next season and we have again received our three star rating and in addition the accreditation people added this comment:

“You are a credit and an asset to the local tourism industry…”

And as you can imagine we very much appreciated their kind words.

Little Glebe Farm is positioned on the edge of open countryside, in a secluded setting. Our location offers excellent access to footpaths from its front door. Maiden Castle, The Hardy Monument and even the coast are within a day’s tramp.

We provide a perfect base for daytrips: Dorchester, Bridport and Weymouth are all within easy reach which includes Portland Harbour the site for the 2012 Olympic sailing events! The world heritage ‘JurassicCoast’ is only five miles away, with its numerous beaches and attractions.

Within a two-hour drive of London and benefiting from a direct train service from Waterloo, our county town Dorchester is just a few miles away. A bus service connects hourly with Winterbourne Abbas.
